What does a typical day look like for you?
My best days are built on a foundation of intentional connection. It begins with Coffee Hour, a routine my husband and I started in 2018 to ensure we have undivided attention before the day starts. We transition to our morning workouts and after that, the boys way up and we begin our day with them. I take the lead on the homeschool front, while my husband gets some work time. Then, we switch.
I dedicate about four hours a day to my work. This focused block is where I work with my team to support Know & Tell clients - sometimes that looks like digging into the data for grant proposals, or building impact tracking toolkits, or leading coaching sessions.
Beyond the workday, my husband and I spend time cultivating community, both in our online spaces and our new neighborhood. We wrap up our days as a family with dinner, walks, and games.
What excites you about being on the team?
I am very excited to work alongside a team that is genuinely passionate about contributing to good in the world. I find so much joy in connecting with leaders who are doing incredible things in the world and being the person who helps provide the clarity and support they need to make their work feel a little bit lighter.
What does a typical day look like for you?
As a homeschooling mama of three young boys, my days are filled with lots of laughter, outside time, and exploring. I’m up early most mornings, usually starting my work with a hot cup of coffee in hand while the house is still quiet. As everyone wakes up, we spend time learning together and then head out for a daily adventure—whether it’s the library, science museum, or zoo, we love exploring our area and learning something new. Outside of work and motherhood, I enjoy running with good music or a podcast. My family also loves to travel, whether that’s in our camper or across the seas.
What excites you about being on the team?
I enjoy working with organizations that are doing meaningful work and providing support behind the scenes. I love helping clients feel like they can truly check something off their list—knowing the work will be done thoughtfully, accurately, and with care. This role allows me to combine my background in teaching, writing, and data analysis to help nonprofits secure funding and clearly communicate their impact, all while working from home and maximizing time with my family.
What does a typical day look like for you?
Every day in my life looks a little different than the last, and that's something I've come to really appreciate about life. Whether it's part of the daily routine (driving my kids to school, exercising, trying new recipes) or living more creatively (designing beautiful interior spaces, interesting digital graphics, telling stories), there's one common thread: I'm obsessed with designing my days to maximize whimsy, connection, and purpose. So be it creating a compelling story through words and visuals for a marketing project, or creating a stronger community through my kids' school and our neighborhood- my entire heart goes into everything I do.
What excites you about being on the team?
I'm always looking for meaningful ways to contribute to the world, and I'm excited to be on a team that connects impactful organizations with other experts who lead with purpose. My background in teaching and developing effective, thoughtful lessons has helped me build a great foundation to work specifically with this team and deliver exactly what an organization needs to make the most impact.
Jill is the founder of Know & Tell and her journey has been guided by a core belief forged through years of experience on Young Life staff and in the classroom as a middle school teacher: structure brings freedom. She saw firsthand how clear systems and a plan for measuring growth could empower people to achieve incredible things, whether they were students, volunteers, or fellow staff members.
Jill and her husband achieved financial independence and retired in their mid 30s and traveled the world with their two boys for over two years. This period of freedom and agency allowed her to reached out to friends in the nonprofit space with a simple offer: "How can I help?"
She dove into learning the intricacies of grant services and began applying her classroom experience to help organizations measure their true impact. The real catalyst, however, came when she stepped in as an Interim Executive Director for a small nonprofit.
There, she saw the painful reality up close: the most transformative strategic support was often financially out of reach for the organizations who needed it most. The small nonprofits, the ones without a dedicated development director, were the ones left behind.
This experience sparked the vision for a new kind of agency—one that would offer expert, high-level consulting at a rate that was intentionally accessible. She shared the idea with the nonprofit leaders she was serving. Their enthusiastic response, paired with Jill's own dream of working on a collaborative team, was the final confirmation.
Know & Tell was born.
It was founded with a dual mission: to build agency for nonprofit leaders who felt trapped by the day-to-day, and to build an agency of passionate experts who could deliver that support as a true, collaborative team. It is the culmination of Jill's entire journey, built on a model she believes in and is proud of.
